BIO

dr hab. Dominika Motak kieruje Zakładem Socjologii Religii IR UJ. W centrum jej zainteresowań naukowych sytuują się wzajemne uwarunkowania nowoczesności i religii. Prowadzi badania dotyczące współczesnych przemian religii, religijności i duchowości (od New Age po fundamentalizm religijny), a także współczesnych i klasycznych teorii religii (zwł. koncepcji Georga Simmla).

Projekt wyłoniony na drodze konkursu stanowił podstawę przyznania mi statusu Senior Research Fellow w Instytucie Religioznawstwa Uniwersytetu Wiedeńskiego, gdzie prowadziłam badania własne korzystając z zasobów materialnych Instytutu oraz wiedzy afiliowanych tam uczonych.

Maj 2002-maj 2003: kierownik projektu badawczego The Biology of Spirituality

Projekt badawczy został zrealizowany w ramach międzynarodowego programu koordynowanego przez The Center for Theology and the Natural Sciences (Berkeley, CA) i sfinansowanego z grantu John Templeton Foundation.
